Playing games with Students

Today my friends and I played games with students first time and first class here. I felt excited to do these activities with them. They attended to play games with us and tried to guess the answer all the time when we were playing. I impressed with too much. Today I was very tired because I had to take them to play games three classes in the school. Especially for lunch, teachers provided foods for us. The foods were delicious for me today. Until 03:00 pm. I finished in the school and I went to the mall again and found the ingredients to cook dinner.

The school market day

Today the students in primary school, they provided the shops to sale many things to teachers, their parents, students in the school, and all of us. I was very surprised to talk with a student who is in grade 3, he spoke English very well. He could respond my friends and me when we bought cake and juice in his shop. After that, I went to the classroom for observation again. Until finished school at 03:00 pm. Then I came back to hotel to wash my clothes and cook my dinner with my friends.

Going to school For Teaching and Observation

The time is very fast, now the date is on 1^st February. Today I got up early again and went to school for teaching and observation. Five of us who observe in senior high school had a good opportunity to participate activity of the school.  That is the students stand up to show respect for the nation while singing the national anthem. And the director of school speech in the morning and also polices to give suggestions to all of students. And then I went to the classroom for observation and I also introduced myself to students in the class. I was very pound of myself to be here. I was also excited to know them. In the afternoon, I had chance to join the group with students to play game. The students here were very smart and intelligent. I am glad to meet all of them.

  The 12th day in Makassar Indonesia

              Farewell party For Thai student 

For today, I could get up late. I slept until 11:00 am. And today as well, it’s the last for a Thai student here who will go back to Thailand because he graduated in Master degree in UNM. So my friends and I had a farewell party to him. Women cooked some Thai food for us together in the afternoon at Thai students’ house. Men fried chicken in the kitchen. About Thai food, There are Somtam, Suki, and fried chicken. While we were eating, we talked about the famous places in Makassar, my life in oversea, exchanging the experiences. Then they brought us to drink Saraba. The favor was very nice, I liked it. It’s ginger juice but here there is egg inside.

Today was a day that I won’t forget.

The 11th day in Makassar Indonesia

          Meeting with Secretary and Members of SEAMEO

          Actually today was my holiday to relax in my room but my friend received the message from Bu Widya that we had to meet the Secretary and Members of SEAMEO because they came to Makassar for business and visiting us on Saturday at 11:00 am. At that time my roommate and I were still on the bed then when we got the message by Facebook massager, we suddenly took a shower and dressed to go down stair for waiting them. I talked about my experiences in Makassar such as food, culture, school, teachers, students and etc.  In addition, they gave us suggestions about Makassar living. I was very good to share good experiences while I am living here. After that, three of us including me went to the traditional market in Makassar (Pabeang beang traditional market). We bought a lot of ingredients to cook for 3 or 4 dinners. Such as vegetables, rice and eggs etc. and then we went to Lotte Mart to buy Chicken, beef and seasoning.

The 10th day in Makassar Indonesia

Chilled Out with Indonesia Friends

              On Friday, everything was very good for me because it was the last day for working. I got up early like every day that I did at 04:35am. And went to school for observation last week then next week I will have to teach together with teacher in school. For lunch, I impressed very much. The food was very delicious. In the evening, I had planned to invite my Indonesia friends for playing cards game. They were very kind. They also brought traditional cake to me and other food. We had a wonderful time to be together here and spent time with them. we relished with cards and talked with others so, tonight, I slept very late around midnight.

The 9th day in Makassar Indonesia

Reading Day at Athirah Isamic School

Today is Reading Day in Athirah Isamic School which every student can brings their favorite book to read at school for relaxing and improving their skills. Moreover, the students had another opportunity to watch movie, Ketika Masgagah Pergi the Movie. Unfortunately, our senior high school student teachers had to watch another movie because the seat in the cinema was full. So, we decided to watch The Boy. And we got back to the hotel earlier than the other days. My friends and I spent the time in school for a while before we left from school to the mall to watch the movie with students. Like I said the seat was full, five of us had to watch another movie instead. For the price was similar with Thai cinema about 35,000Rp = 93 Bh. Then we went out to have dinner before came back to hotel for taking a shower and rest for tomorrow.
