The 3rd day in Makassar Indonesia

Today was my first day in Athirah Islamic School (Sekolah Islam Athirah).

 

 

In the morning, I got up very early at 04:30 am. Because I had to go to Athirah Islamic School to introduce myself and meet the director, teacher, and students. Today I got the schedule to teach the students. We were divided into 2 groups, 5 people for Junior high school and other 5 people for senior high school. I really like this school although this school is Islamic school, teachers and students here are very kind and great welcome me very snugly. The system of Education is quite different from the system of Education in Thailand. For example, the number of students in each class has 20-25 people which in Thailand has around 30-40 people and the time in each period.

The school provides 70-90 minutes. Indonesia for Athirah Islamic School starts at 07:00 am. and finishes at 03:00 pm. on Monday to Thursday. Excepting on Friday The school finishes at 01:00 pm. and others school must study on Monday to Saturday.

The teachers in Athirah Islamic School usually come to school early before 07:00 am. for praying and brief meeting since 06:40-07:00 am. and then they go to classroom for keeping students' mobile phone and giving them back when the school finish.

It is different with Thai students which school starts at 08:00 am. and finishes at 04:00 pm.
